Pune’s Startup Ecosystem Takes Centre Stage as Gyrodrive Advances to the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco

Pune (Maharashtra) [India], October 10: BE Hub in partnership with Pegasus Tech Ventures / Startup World Cup, successfully hosted the Startup World Cup Pune Regional 2026 at Sheraton Grand Pune, on Sept. 29, bringing together promising startups, investors, venture capitalists, corporate leaders, technology experts, mentors, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders from Pune’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The event witnessed participation from 100+ curated attendees, including startup founders, investors, VCs, corporate leaders, mentors, ecosystem builders, and aspiring entrepreneurs. More than 50 startups registered for the competition, with the selection process culminating in the finalists presenting their ventures before an experienced jury.

The regional competition culminated with Gyrodrive Machineries Private Limited being declared the Startup World Cup Pune Regional 2026 Winner. Gyrodrive will now advance to the next stage of the Startup World Cup journey and represent Pune at the Grand Finale in San Francisco, USA.

The Startup World Cup, organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures, is a global startup competition connecting regional competitions across countries and regions with its Grand Finale in San Francisco.

Gyrodrive Machineries Wins Startup World Cup Pune Regional 2026

Gyrodrive Machineries Private Limited emerged as the winner after successfully progressing through the regional screening and final pitching process.

The company is developing magnet-free, high-efficiency electric motor solutions, focused on sustainability, reliability, and performance for industrial and mobility applications.

Its innovative approach represents the growing strength of India’s deep-tech ecosystem and its potential to create globally relevant technology solutions.

The BE Hub team congratulates the entire Gyrodrive Machineries team and wishes them continued success as they take their journey from Pune to San Francisco.

From Pune to the Global Stage

The Pune Regional competition followed a structured selection process, beginning with startup applications and technical screening before the selection of the finalists.

The Technical Screening Committee comprised:

The finalists then presented their ventures before an experienced Jury Panel comprising:

The jury evaluated the participating startups across business, technology, innovation, scalability, and growth dimensions before selecting the regional winner.
